Ben Fenton Ben Fenton was appointed Chief Media Correspondent for the Financial Times in June 2008. He joined the FT in May 2007 as media correspondent. Prior to this he spent 18 years working as a senior reporter for the Daily Telegraph, reporting on most major domestic stories between 1987 and 2006 from the King’s Cross Fire and Lockerbie to Cash-for-Honours and the 7/7 bombings.
Prior to this he was the Daily Telegraph’s Washington correspondent, covering all areas of news including the 1992 and 2000 elections and 9/11. As a roving foreign correspondent, Fenton has reported from more than 40 countries on five continents and covered wars in the Gulf (1991), Liberia (1990) and Bosnia (1992), as well as two Olympic Games, two European football Championships and two World Cups.
Fenton has extensive broadcast experience with frequent appearances on national and international TV and radio. He holds a degree in history from Oxford University.
