Discussion and documentation

Documentation

The event will be documented. If you write about or comment on the Conference (via your Weblog, Twitter, or some other platform) please use the tag mfc08. If you post images to Flickr please also use the machine tag upcoming:event=727100. This will enable us to easily link to material, and enable other interested people to learn about the conference.

Reports and Commentary

You can find Twitter posts that used the Hashtag ‘mfc08 which give a sense of the trajectory of the day. Robin Hamman also put together a page tracking media futures conference (mfc08) (using Yahoo! Pipes).

We have started posting commentary and references to the session pages (which can be found via the Programme section). The following reports cover most of the sessions at the conference, and include more general reflections:

MediaFutures and the Remembrance of Media past by Alan Patrick on the broadstuff Weblog: “I’d say it was an ‘interesting’ conference, in that it was quite ‘edgy’ as there was a lot more poking of sticks at comfortable sacred cows than conferences which are more themed and tend to preach to the faithful”.

Live blogged notes by Rain Rainycat: “Had a great day, really enjoyed it – thanks for all your hard work to bring this together for us”

Images

We have posted a number of photographs taken by the conference photographer Phil Taylor. See all public photographs that use the tag mfc08.
